Note. SD44xx scanner series does not support the high level SDK.

The SDK features are:

  1. The SDK contains a low level API.
  2. The SDK includes also a high level SDK, based on ActiveX components distributed with the WIDEimage software package.
  3. The SDK contains documentation on the Contex NET architecture.
  4. All SDK components are illustrated through a set of simple samples.
  5. The SDK contains full documentation of all scanner commands.
  6. The SDK can be used to develop scanner drivers for both SCSI, FireWire(IEEE1394) and USB.

Make sure the WIDEsystem version used supports the selected scanner.

WIDEsystem is the driver layer for the scanners. To use the low level SDK, WIDEsystem must be installed.

To use the high level components WIDEsystem and WIDEimage must be installed.
