Contex provides the WIDEcapture
scan plugin for Photoshop for running
your scanner on Macintosh systems.
You can also find excellent scan and copy software

Obtaining the WIDEcapture scan plugin
WIDEcapture for Photoshop version 2.0
and version 1.2 can be downloaded for free from
this support website. Use the product finder
to reach your product's support page and then
select the Download WIDEcapture for Mac link.
WIDEcapture scan plugin features and
functionality
Full range RGB color scanning, BW
threshold mode, BW Adaptive mode, BW copy modes,
Graytone mode, blur/sharpen, despekle/holefilling,
brightness/contrast, lightness/saturation/gamma,
prescan window, standard and custom size setting,
standard and user defined resolution setting,
direct scan into photoshop's work area, contains
scanner drivers for use with Mac.
Minimum
System Requirements
- For scanners using FireWire
or USB 1.1 interfacing:
WIDEcapture
for Photoshop version 2.0 scan plugin and
Adobe Photoshop version 7 and Mac OS 10.2.8,
10.3 and 10.4. Note that USB 2.0 is not
supported.
- For scanners with only SCSI interfacing: WIDEcapture
for Photoshop version 1.2 and Photoshop
6 and Mac OS 9.
- Macintosh Computers/Proccessors - Compatible with Power PC based Macintosh computers

Scanner Maintenance
The Scanner Maintenance software
cannot run on OS 9 and previous Macintosh
systems. For periodic scanner calibration
and
camera
alignment on these systems,
users
will need to connect the scanner to a Windows
based PC with one of the comaptible Windows
versions
for Scanner Maintenance as listed in
the
Software - Operating System Compatibility
Chart.
You
can

a Scanner Maintenance version
for Macintosh
OS
systems 10.2.8,
10.3 and 10.4 from this support site.
Interface - Scanner Maintenance
on USB and Firewire
For scanners with Firewire
or USB 1.1 interfaces, you can download
a Scanner Maintenance version
for Macintosh
OS
systems 10.2.8, 10.3 and
10.4 from this support site. Use the
product finder to reach your product's
support page and then
select the Download Scanner Maintenance
for Mac link. The
Scanner Maintenance version for
Macintosh only runs with USB and Firewire
interfaces. See below information on running

interfaces.

Scanner Maintenance software for Mac cannot
run with SCSI interfacing on
Macintosh systems. On scanners limited
to SCSI interfacing
